چکیده
Transitioning to lower carbon energy and environment sustainability requires a reduction in greenhouse gases such as dioxide (CO2) methane (CH4) that contribute global warming. One of the most actively studied rare earth metal catalysts is cerium oxide (CeO2) which produces remarkable improvements dry reforming methane. This paper reviews management CO2 emissions recent advent trends bimetallic catalyst development utilizing CeO2 (DRM) steam (SRM) from 2015 2021 way reduce gas emissions. focus on identification key preparation using effectiveness formulated.

Dry Reforming of Methane Using Cold Plasma; Kinetic Model Study
In this work, the dry reforming of methane was studied using a corona and gliding discharge plasma microreactors. A chemical kinetic model was developed to describe the experimental behavior observed. The kinetic model is proposed based on the assumption that the reactant molecules CH4 or CO2 are attacked by active species produced b...
متن کاملCFD modeling and control of a steam methane reforming reactor
This work initially focuses on developing a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model of an industrialscale steam methane reforming reactor (reforming tube) used to produce hydrogen. Subsequently, we design and evaluate three different feedback control schemes to drive the area-weighted average hydrogen mole fraction measured at the reforming tube outlet ( x̄H outlet 2 ) to a desired set-point va...
متن کاملStepwise methane steam reforming: a route to CO-free hydrogen
A method for the production of clean hydrogen is demonstrated. The process consists of two steps involving the decomposition of methane to CO-free hydrogen and surface carbon in the first step followed by steam gasification of this surface carbon in the second step. This process can be operated in cycles and could be an excellent hydrogen source for fuel cells and other devices or processes req...
متن کاملSimulation of a Solid Oxide Fuel Cell with External Steam Methane Reforming and Bypass
Fuel flexibility is a significant advantage of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) and can be attributed to their high operating temperature. The eligibility of a combined heat and power (CHP) system has been investigated as a new power generation methode, in this study. Natural gas fueled SOFC power systems via methane steam reforming (MSR) yield electrical conversion efficiencies exceeding 50% and...
